Being one of the pioneer companies in mining, we currently center our main activity in this area around the following process, in which we integrate geological knowledge, applied engineering, and modern processing methods to consolidate a company with solid technical bases and responsiveness to an increasingly specialized market.

Our Mining Process

1. Exploration

Geological study and technical analysis are carried out to identify zones with mineral potential. We use satellite mapping tools, geological modeling, and terrain data evaluation to better understand the deposit structure and precisely define areas of interest.

Exploration
Open-Pit Extraction

2. Open-Pit Extraction

Once the area of interest is identified, we develop open-pit extraction through the use of heavy machinery fleets and equipment operated under technical and safety criteria. This method allows us to maintain a constant production volume and efficiently utilize the mineralized material.

3. Crushing and Grinding

Following extraction, the material moves to the crushing and grinding stage, where its size is reduced to facilitate the liberation of target minerals. This step is essential within the beneficiation process as it prepares the material for subsequent separation stages.

Gravimetric Separation

4. Gravimetric Separation

In this phase, we apply gravimetric concentration technology, a method that allows valuable minerals to be separated by taking advantage of their density differences. This process stands out for its efficiency and lower environmental impact since it eliminates the use of conventional chemicals.

5. Concentration

Concentration is the stage where our material reaches its highest quality: we obtain high-grade cassiterite with a grade superior to 60% Sn, ready to be transformed into metallic tin.

Smelting

6. Smelting

The final stage corresponds to smelting, where the concentrate obtained in the process is transformed and refined for commercialization or subsequent use. This phase represents the closure of the productive cycle and consolidates the value generated throughout the entire operation.

Sustainability

We incorporate resource efficiency practices and environmental impact reduction at every stage of the operation. We work alongside sector regulatory institutes so that our operation does not detract from the environment or local economy, but adds value to both.

85% of the water used in the process is recycled and reused.
